From Dec. 2021 to Feb. 2022, twenty local artists transformed empty window displays and public spaces throughout downtown Seattle into multimedia galleries. Through a partnership between local artists, the Downtown Seattle Association, Lusio Lights and downtown property owners, “Shine On Seattle” was born.

The series grew out of the success of the “Shine a Light” storefront art project and expanded to include a number of public spaces. Each piece was inspired by the artist’s personal interpretation of the theme.

The activation was designed to enrich the public realm while elevating Seattle’s creative talent. Installations were displayed in storefronts and other locations throughout downtown’s Retail Core, Belltown and Pioneer Square neighborhoods.
