As a new corporate or nonprofit member of DSA, you’ll join more than 700 companies and nonprofit organizations across 40 industries. We are your voice with the policy makers and leaders shaping the future of downtown and the city. We advocate for your business, your employees and your customers. And we give you access to the information and people essential to managing and growing your business.

Our corporate and nonprofit members help shape DSA’s strategic priorities and provide input on major public policy issues we’re addressing. DSA members have special access to key influencers and public officials. And we offer a range of ways to stay informed about important issues, get involved and meet other members. As a DSA member, you may:

  • Attend DSA’s annual State of Downtown breakfast in February, and our Annual Meeting in June
  • Participate on DSA task forces on a variety of issues impacting downtown, including transportation, economic development and the urban experience
  • Receive exclusive emails about pressing public policy issues with information on how to get involved
  • Stay informed on the latest DSA news and events with our monthly newsletter
  • Subscribe to email updates on downtown news items
  • Attend our City Maker Breakfast Series on issues impacting downtown and the city
  • Take advantage of special access to small-group informational tours and visits to new projects in and around downtown
  • Join our President’s Roundtable, an informal conversation with our president and CEO, board members and other DSA members where we discuss issues impacting downtown and your business

  • Sole proprietors — 1-2 full-time employees (FTEs) $365
  • 3-10 FTEs  /  $625
  • 11-30 FTEs  /  $835
  • 31-50 FTEs  /  $1,150
  • 51-100 FTEs  /  $1,410
  • 101-150 FTEs  /  $1,775
  • 151-400 FTEs  /  $2,400
  • 401-999 FTEs  /  $3,135
  • 1,000 FTEs  /  Negotiated (see below)
  • Educational institutions  /  $1,565

*National retail brands with five or more locations pay per number of FTEs

Corporate/nonprofit members are not required to maintain a downtown location. Any organization interested in the benefits of DSA membership is welcome to join. To determine dues, all full-time employees within the Puget Sound are calculated as FTEs.

We’ve restructured our committees to better serve members and provide more opportunities to get involved. These new task forces, roundtables and committees offer a stronger focus on specific issues while expanding the range of topics DSA members can choose to work on.

Member Events

We offer a variety of member-only events at DSA, with something to fit most interests and schedules. From our highly anticipated annual State of Downtown breakfast to informal small-group discussions, our events are designed to build a connected and informed downtown community. Join our City Maker Breakfast Series or President’s Roundtable for access to other members, public officials, subject matter experts and information you won’t get anywhere else. Shape important policy on our task forces, devoted to transportation, economic development and the urban experience. Members receive event notifications via email and can always find events on our website.

Residents Council

The Residents Council of the Downtown Seattle Association provides a forum for residents of downtown’s 12 neighborhoods to connect and work together on issues important to them. For a small membership fee, you can join this community and gain access to a number of resources, from events to email updates.
