Built for Success

The investments developers make are a barometer of confidence in the local economy. Since 2005, DSA has tracked downtown development, and we publish an annual development guide to quantify activity taking place downtown. Included in the report are projects with construction costs of $1 million or more. Transportation projects are only included if they involve a building structure. Infrastructure such as rail and roads are not included.

The geography used for this analysis is the area within downtown Seattle. We use the following boundaries for downtown: South Lake Union to the north to South Lander Street to the south; Elliott Bay to the west and Broadway to the east.
