Clean Team

At 6 a.m. each day, before the rest of downtown is moving, our 65 Clean Team members hit the streets to clean sidewalks and alleyways in six neighborhoods within the Metropolitan Improvement District.  Last year, these ambassadors removed more than 45,000 graffiti tags and more than 970,000 gallons of trash across 285 square blocks of downtown. In 2016, with support and funding from MID ratepayers, we extended our hours of service and added specialized equipment, including an all-terrain litter vacuum to wash and vacuum sidewalks.

Clean Team Ambassador of the Month

Stacy Jackson

If you run into Stacy Jackson, your day is about to get better. She brightens the lives of everyone she come in contact with, and her high level of customer service has earned numerous accolades from ratepayers along the waterfront.

This year, Jackson worked tirelessly to fashion a healthy and vibrant environment at the Pike Street Hill Climb and along the waterfront area. Her dedication and efforts to clean up abandoned transient camps, trash and remove graffiti illustrate her perseverance and commitment to excellence. Jackson has also been instrumental in providing training to Jobs Connect participants this year.

Jackson is a native of Washington who comes to us from Spokane. In her spare time, she loves to walk her dog with her husband on the waterfront.

Please join us in congratulating Stacy Jackson as our Clean Team employee of the month for September.
