Celebrate Fridays with a BBQ in Westlake Park (and Stay Tuned for Downtown Summer Sounds)

Summer is knocking on the door and so are new DSA/MID park events and programs. Mark your calendar for concerts, cookouts and more in the heart of Seattle this summer.

Our new Downtown BBQ brings sunny vibes and zesty flavors to Westlake Park select Fridays from July 5–Aug. 16. Kick off your weekends with delicious food, refreshing drinks, live music and fun activities from 3–7 p.m. as a local barbeque expert grills up smokey, savory and sweet dishes. Head over to the beer garden in the park for a cold beverage while local musicians play live sets.

While we’re prepping the grill, local bands are gearing up for the 45th year of Downtown Summer Sounds, DSA’s signature concert series. Two months of free shows spanning rock, country, pop, hip-hop and R&B kick off July 5. Concerts will take place at 10 outdoor locations throughout downtown until Sept. 10. The hit series drew 17,000 fans last year and we’re expecting thousands more to attend in 2024.
