Join Us for a Virtual Candidate Forum Ahead of November Election

Seattle cityscape

Downtown Seattle has made remarkable progress in the past two years. Our sidewalks are busy and tourism is nearly back to pre-pandemic levels. There is much to celebrate, but a sustained recovery needs responsive leaders with a firm grasp of the issues shaping downtown.

This November, voters will elect a new King County Prosecutor and a judge for Seattle Municipal Court position 7. These races will have a significant impact on how escalating crime is addressed in our community, including in downtown Seattle. Public safety remains a top priority for DSA and is an essential element of a full post-pandemic recovery.

To help our members, ratepayers and downtown residents better understand how the candidates for both of these races would approach their roles and downtown priorities, we are hosting a free virtual forum on Wednesday, Oct. 5. The hour-long discussion will be moderated by two veteran political journalists. We invite you to register for the event online today.

We also asked these candidates to answer a short questionnaire. Their answers are available on our website, and links to their campaign websites are below.

We look forward to seeing you there.
