Blue Sky Passage Panels on Third Avenue
In winter 2016, DSA wrapped the inside of a 20-foot shipping container with summer photos of the Cascade Mountains, creating a sunlit interlude for cloud-weary pedestrians. Commissioned by DSA and stationed in Westlake Park for January and February, the art installation was a much-needed reprieve from rainy days for passersby of all ages.
Following its time in Westlake Park, the panels from within the Blue Sky Passage were installed in the vacant Aaron Brothers storefront between Pike and Pine streets, gaining new life and further improving downtown pedestrian experience on Third Avenue.
