Welcome Back Weeks

With funding from the Metropolitan Improvement District, we’re helping reacquaint employers, workers and visitors to the center city while creating a great environment for downtown residents. Our Welcome Back Weeks in July and September included a special concentration of activations and promotions, including more than 60 pop-up booth appearances throughout downtown, each offering free refreshments, music, giveaways, information and more.

Stocked with snacks, giveaways, information and knowledgeable staff, our Welcome Back Booths attracted more than 20,000 visitors during Welcome Back Weeks in July and September.

With support from the Metropolitan Improvement District, we hosted a wide range of inclusive, family-friendly activities during Welcome Back Weeks and all summer long. Visitors enjoyed engagements like free live local music, scavenger hunts and guided urban hikes while actors from The 5th Avenue Theatre performed Broadway favorites at select downtown locations.

In July, we launched a major marketing and communications effort to reunite locals with downtown. Under the theme Love, SeaTown, we’re highlighting the things we love about — and can only experience — downtown. The campaign spans social media, radio, transit and local TV.
