Genre: Hip-Hop Address: Westlake Park / 401 Pine St. Benjamin Laub, better known as Grieves, is a Seattle-based hip-hop artist. He has toured with some of indie rap’s finest, including artists like Atmosphere, Macklemore, Prof, Cunninlynguists, Watsky, Chris Webby, P.O.S, Brother Ali, Rittz, People Under The Stairs and many more. With four full-length studio albums and multiple EPs, Grieves has made a name for himself both within the Seattle hip-hop scene and worldwide.
Grieves will be joined by opening act Oblé Reed. Known for his passion and introspective lyricism, Oblé Reed brings inimitable depth and nuance to his music. Crafting tracks that resonate with listeners on a profound level, Oblé has a unique blend of self-expression, personal growth and societal reflections. The Downtown Seattle Association is proud to present Downtown Summer Sounds, our summer concert series that has been bringing free live, local music to downtown Seattle for 45 years.
