Bandits on the Run are a musical trio known for their distinct combination of cello, guitar, accordion and found-percussion, with sophisticated harmonies and lead vocals. The Brooklyn-based group formed from a chance encounter busking in NYC subways, and burst onto the national stage after a feature on NPR in 2019. They’ve continued to explore the nexus of indie-folk music and theatrical storytelling ever since, composing music for films, animated series and musical theatre projects. The group is currently working on the stage musical adaptation of the novel What’s Eating Gilbert Grape in association with MCC Theater.
