We invite you to join us for the 20th annual State of Downtown on Tuesday, Feb. 25, presented by Ballard Spahr Lane Powell, at the Seattle Convention Center’s Summit building.
DSA President & CEO Jon Scholes will share insights and analysis on the present and future state of downtown, highlighting the latest data and storylines impacting our urban core.
We’ll be joined by Mayor Bruce Harrell and keynote speaker Marc Dunkelman, fellow in International and Public Affairs at Brown University and author of the soon-to-be-released book: “Why Nothing Works: Who Killed—and How to Bring It Back,” which follows his first book: “The Vanishing Neighbor: The Transformation of American Community.” He spent years in Washington, D.C., serving as a senior fellow at the Clinton Foundation, on the staff of the Senate Judiciary Committee and as vice president for strategy and communications for the Democratic Leadership Council, among other roles. His work has appeared in the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, The Atlantic and many other publications.
Join us before and after the program for a networking reception with heavy appetizers, drinks, music and beautiful views.
