Sleek New Kiosk Arrives in Westlake Park
Posted on
A new eye-catching structure has been installed in the Westlake Park tree grove. Made of cedar, marine plywood and polycarbonate sheeting, a local designer worked with Metis Construction to build a new 10-foot-tall kiosk.
The 96-square-foot building was designed to be an open, flexible interior space used for the wide variety of activities hosted in the park. And the kiosk design provides open lines of sight into the structure, letting park goers know that this is not a storage shed but instead a staffed space.
The DSA/MID Public Realm Operations Team will use the kiosk during park events and it provides cover during the rainy winter days.
