Room full of people networking at the DSA/MID Annual Meeting 2022

Last month, we celebrated our 2022 Annual Meeting, under the theme “In It Together,” with hundreds of DSA members, MID ratepayers, downtown residents and civic leaders. For those who were able to join us at the Amazon Meeting Center, thank you. And for those unable to attend, a few highlights:

  • DSA Board Chair Kathy O’Kelley, representing Hines, helped welcome 11 new members to the DSA Board of Directors.
  • MID Advisory Board Chair Lisa Nitze of Nitze-Stagen, shared a year-end update on the work of the Metropolitan Improvement District, and discussed the MID renewal upcoming in 2023. Lisa recognized the recipient of our Lee Townsend Ambassador of the Year Award, Nick Ortiz. Nick is a member of the DSA/MID Community Safety & Hospitality Team and was selected by his peers and supervisors for this honor.
  • Pat Callahan, founder and CEO of Urban Renaissance Group, our presenting sponsor, spoke to the importance of the MID and its role as a second-chance employer.
  • After a brief annual report video, DSA President and CEO Jon Scholes offered gratitude to all for supporting downtown’s recovery and the work of DSA/MID. You can watch his full remarks here.

Thanks again to all of you who attended, purchased reserved seating and helped underwrite the event with sponsorship support. We look forward to what the next year holds downtown accelerates its recovery.
