The investments developers make are a barometer of confidence in the local economy. Since 2005, DSA has tracked downtown development, and we publish an annual Development Guide — presented by Mortenson — to quantify activity taking place downtown.
The geography used for this analysis is the area within downtown Seattle. We use the following boundaries for downtown: South Lake Union to the north to South Lander Street to the south; Elliott Bay to the west and Broadway to the east.
