State of Downtown 2025
Path to Progress
Thanks to the 1,000-plus DSA members, elected officials and partners who came together on Feb. 25, 2025, for our 20th annual State of Downtown to learn more about the progress being made in revitalizing the center city and the exciting projects coming to downtown in the months and years ahead.
DSA President & CEO Jon Scholes shared insights and analysis on the present and future state of downtown, highlighting the latest data and storylines impacting our urban core.
We were joined by Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell and keynote speaker Marc Dunkelman, fellow in International and Public Affairs at Brown University and author of “Why Nothing Works: Who Killed Progress―and How to Bring It Back,” which followed his first book: “The Vanishing Neighbor: The Transformation of American Community.”
Washington Gov. Bob Ferguson made a special guest appearance to offer his insight into the state of downtown, and the evening was capped with a networking reception.
We look forward to seeing you at next year’s State of Downtown, DSA’s signature members-only event.
